The American Moses. She was born in poverty and slavery. She never had the benefit of a formal education. She had what we call street smarts. She inspired many slaves that freedom not only was better, but it was an option and she led over 300 slaves into a better life. She worked with the Union Army during the Civil War and was given a full military funeral. Her life was one of inspiration and standing up for what is right. Come and hear her story of making a difference.
