Sometimes stories come along that just need to be shared. Sometimes those stories are of people who are obscured into history because of the more dominant ones demand all the attention. That is the case with Sarah Perkins. She was the Secretary of Labor during the entire 12+ years under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. She helped out working-class America in ways that are hard to even imagine. She created the program of Social Security. She created the 40-hour work week. She made so many things possible that we just take for granted. Come and hear about the tragedy that inspired everything that she accomplished. Her story needs to be shared.
