He was President #26. By that time, America had gotten used to what a President could and should be. Then, along came a man who changed all the perceptions of what we had. He was a man born to wealth and yet struggled with ill health during his youth. He experienced tremendous tragedy and took refuge in the west. He led a generation to a war in Cuba because he didn’t want to miss the opportunity to fight in battle. He even volunteered to serve in World War I. His stories are the myths of legend.
